EXHIBITS

As every organization, there are many fac-

tors influencing the economic health of

Unimed cooperatives. We belong to a sector

characterized by strong regulation and whi-

ch faces the challenge of the assistance costs

constant increase. For this reason, Unimed

do Brasil seeks to operate at various fronts of

support to cooperatives, in order to optimi-

ze the economic diagnostic operational ca-

pability, cut costs and improve the services

provided by Unimeds all over the national

territory. In this sense, the beneficiaries’ sa-

tisfaction follow-up becomes fundamental

in the quest to improve our services, at the

same time in which we provide the neces-

sary guidances regarding how to use the

health insurance efficiently, in a win-win re-

lation without any conflicts of interests. This

reinforces our willingness to always cater for

relations transparency, without losing sight

of the ethical and responsible stance in busi-

ness conduction.

Added value statement

Unimeds inform the added value statement (DVA), the purpose of which is to display the ge-

neratedwealth value and its distribution among the elements who contributed for the gene-

ration of this wealth. The DVA is then used tomeasure the Unimed cooperatives efficiency in

the utilization of necessary factors for their operation, such as events, disbursements, opera-

tional expenses and materials purchased from third parties. In 2014, the 231 Unimeds whi-

ch completed the DVA in the Unimed Social Balance, representing 65.81% of the Unimeds

total in December 2014, distributed together R$ 16.8 billion. Among the relationship publics,

those who received the most were: members, with 57.85%; the employees/officers/directors

group, with 20.07%; and the government, with 11.65% of the distributed total.

The figures of 2014 show that the need

of the same 231 Unimeds reporting the

indicator “Earnings and revenues” in the

Unimed Social Balance surpassed R$ 50

billion, a 17% increase in comparison with

2013. Even with a difficult market scena-

rio for health insurances, these figures

reflect the customers portfolio increase,

a result of higher population access to

health insurances.
